Having a good working computer is a nice thing to have, especially when it's new, but the longer you have your computer the more likely you will come across computer problems. It is very rare if you do not come across any problems with your computer but trust me if you haven't, you will and that's a fact.

Many things can cause your computer to malfunction and if you do not do any proper maintenance now and then, then you are differently asking for trouble. Installing new software or uninstalling software can cause problems to your computer because if the software is malicious or not installed properly or uninstalled properly, then this can damage the registry in your system.

The registry is what causes everything to happen on your system, it's a set of instructions that tells the computer how to function, so when you perform an action on your computer like open a software, saving a file, etc, it's the registry that tells the computer how to and when to do this, it also holds information in there like your logging details etc, It's like a teacher, teaching a pupil what to do, or a parent teaching a little child what to do. For example if a child was told to open a door for the first time and he or she didn't know how to, you will have to show them before they can perform the action, so that's how you can think of the computers registry.

If the registry is damaged in some kind of way like missing or corrupted files, then this can cause your computer to be unsteady and misbehave. If you can't open a file, program or access something on your computer, then the registry may be damaged because the computer will not know how to open or access whatever you requested it to do because there's no one to tell it how to, it's like taking away the mother from the child, if there's no one to teach the child what to do and you ask it to do this and that, it will not have a clue what you are talking about and just stand there a look at you.

If your registry is damaged then you can run a disk scan from your computer to see if it can repair your it, if not then there are free registry repair utilities on the internet you can try out but to tell you the truth if you are missing any registry files then these free utility programs will not solve the problem because they will not be able to replace the missing files only Windows can because there Windows files.
